DeepCleave is a Diffractive optical module used to focus a single mode Gaussian input beam into a tight spot with ~ 1.8 um waist size at constant peak power along an increased depth of focus (DOF) region, ranging typically from 0.25-3 mm. The obtained focused spot is equivalent to a 0.35 objective NA, making DeepCleave a complete optical solution with no need for additional high NA objectives or other high cost optics.
DeepCleave is normally used in the near IR wavelength range for laser glass cutting applications, and is ideally suited cutting thick glasses, such as flat panels. Nonetheless, uses in green visible range have shown success in several microscopic applications as well.
Each DeepCleave module is shipped out of our factory with a full optical characteristics and individual testing report.
DeepCleave module unique characteristics:
- Full depth glass cut from single pulse.
- Complete solution in a single module.
- Very low aberrations level – spot diameter <2um.
- Easy to integrate into existing opto-mechanics.
