Holo/Or production – an overview of more than 30 years as a leading diffractive optical element manufacturer
The high power diffractive optical element market is experiencing a major boom in recent years, as DOE powered applications such as aesthetic laser treatments, laser glass cutting, laser micro-machining and laser welding are gaining popularity and acceptance. Many new players are joining the fields, some less aware of the advantages and uniqueness of diffractive optical elements, and thus we at Holo/Or feel there is a need to go over some diffractive optical element basics so our customers better understand what DOEs can offer.
Flexishaper adjustable beam shaper proved to increase high speed laser welding by >50%
HOLO/OR’s latest innovative development, enabling a full range adjustable distribution of the power ratio between the Zero-Order and a surrounding concentric ring, was validated in cooperation with HOLO/OR’s sister companies SCANLAB and BLACKBIRD and proved to increase weld speed from 45 m/min to up to 70 m/min!
Diffractive Optical Elements for use in Infrared Systems – Laser welding application case study
Diffractive optical elements are widely used in infrared systems, especially where industrial processes are involved. This article focuses on laser welding application and showcases unique custom solutions which provide competitive advantage to the systems using them
Diffractive beam shaper – Top hat energy distribution shaper
A beam shaper top hat is a diffractive optical element which alters the phase of an incoming Gaussian beam into a flat top shaped energy distribution. This article will discuss the beam shaper top hat’s qualities and when it is advised to use it.
Laser display debonding without cylindrical optics using a custom diffractive optical element
Laser de-bonding requires the formation of a thin long line, typically achieved by using large complex and expensive cylindrical optics. This article presents an alternative approach utilizing a single DOE and a standard F-theta lens.
Engineered Diffuser for Multi-Wavelength Lasers
Engineered diffuser is an optical component which changes the input beam into a uniform and homogenous shape with controlled and precise divergence angles. This article discusses the variety of engineered diffusers used in energy-based laser devices for aesthetic skin treatments.
