BH Line Diffuser - double sided cylindrical lens array with improved uniformity

BH line diffusers (Broadband  high Homogeniety diffusers) are special flat-top beam shaping micro-refractive line diffusers, based on double sided cylindrical micro lens arrays.

Useful for any  laser application where integrated intensity over the width of the line must be highly uniform , the BH line diffuser improves  integrated uniformity of both single mode and multi mode lasers by controlled mixing the speckle in both axes, as explained here

Typical applications include: 

  • Fluorescence  microscopy, especially micro fluidic applications such as  cytometry,
  • Semiconductor wafer defect. inspection
  • Laser material processing applications such as UV laser debonding, forward transfer, laser annealing, and laser lift off. 

By combining precisely controlled anamorphic diffusion into the surfaces of the lens arrays, our BH line diffuser offers several advantages over standard fly eye type diffusers:

  • Excellent uniformity of integrated intensity-  improves  integrated uniformity by a factor of  up to X10  compared to a standard  double sided cylindrical lens array.

  • UV fused silica material, optimal for high power and UV laser applications.
  • Same performance for a wide wavelength spectrum from IR to UV.
